We reached Noakhali Sadar Upazila Parishad Bhavan on 01/09/24 at 7:25 am. We went to Model Mosque and had a meeting with UNO Sir (Akhinur Jahan Nila) of Noakhali.  UNO sir being a relative of a respected teacher of our department, we discussed everything with him before leaving.  UNO sir gave us maximum cooperation and utmost care. Through meeting we identified the most remote and needy places and started with our truck. Delivery of gifts was going on till evening and we crossed waist/knee level water to every waterlogged family.  First, we deliver the gifts by van, boat and finally on foot. In this case, our friends who are students of the local university in the area have helped us a lot.

We can deliver as many as 120 packets on the 1st day due to manual delivery of gifts to each family in waterlogged areas.  None of our team was in favor of sending the rest of the materials to any of the shelters and back to Dhaka. Because, last time in Comilla we saw some inconsistencies in this regard. Finally, with the help of both UNO sir and our 3rd year Ibrahim Khalil, we went to National Institute of Population Research and Training (Niport  ) and Ibrahim and Munna being natives of Noakhali have benefited us in many ways.

A novel could be written about the story of the stay and dinner at Niport. Another post will tell about this if there is a chance. The next day we take the list of spots and families as per our pre-arranged plan and deliver the gifts to the rest of the places. After having dinner and arranging for our local volunteers to go, the "Tokyo Kebab Revolution" takes a little time.  .

Alhamdulillah everything went well, on the way back to Dhaka it started raining heavily and it continued till 7 am. We 12 were almost drenched and finished the journey at around 6:20 am without sleep. But one peace in everyone's mind was that we were in the right places.  I was able to deliver the gifts.  This is the biggest achievement of our journey this year.

But after coming down to the department in the morning, everyone's headache was that because of the overnight rain, the knee-deep water in Noakhali will now be waist-deep.  Suffering increased again.

This was roughly a short update of our journey this time. Many words, many experiences are difficult to express in writing.  Rest of the content can be shared offline.
